Piston measurement

КОНУСНОСТЬ the PISTON. To measure diameter of the piston at level of an axis of an aperture under a finger and diameter of a skirt.

DIAMETER of the PISTON. To measure diameter of the piston in section which is below an aperture axis under a finger on 19 mm.


The prevention

At installation of pistons it is necessary to check up piston landing in the cylinder. Factory pistons and the pistons delivered as spare parts, have identical weight and can be established in the Engine without preliminary sorting and selection for weight Steadiness of the engine is not broken. If necessary it is possible to establish in separate cylinders and the pistons which were in the use if they are in a good condition.

In order to avoid infringement of steadiness of the engine it is forbidden to grind pistons for smaller diameter.

Identification number of diameter of cylinders is put down about identification number of the engine.


To measure

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The piston. At deterioration or presence of other defects to replace with the piston of normal or increased diameter.
2. A cylinder aperture, fig. the Place of gauging of diameter of the cylinder. If necessary to restore working capacity расточкой and хонингованием for the repair size.

3. To establish the piston in the cylinder.

The piston and cylinder mirror should be dry.


4. Carefully to wash out a brush with a soap solution a mirror of the cylinder and the piston. To remove all alien particles. To dry and grease with pure engine oil.
5. To check up piston landing in a cylinder aperture.
5а. To measure diameter of the cylinder by a micrometer with a telescopic bar.

7. If the cylinder mirror is subject to processing, it is necessary to measure the new piston and to finish хонингованием diameter of the cylinder till the necessary size.
8. To mark the new piston with a cylinder serial number for which it is intended. (On some engines pistons with diameter increased by 0,25 mm) can be established.
