THE GENERAL DATA

Measurement of a backlash of the radical bearing

Installation of persistent bearings of a cranked shaft

1. PERSISTENT FILLETS OF THE AVERAGE RADICAL BEARING
2. WOODEN БРУСОК

Measurement of an axial backlash of a cranked shaft

Measurement of lateral backlashes of rods

Depending on a technical condition of necks of a cranked shaft replacement of loose leaves can be made both without engine dismantle, and after removal of the engine from the car. If the Engine is removed from the car, replacement of loose leaves should be made according to the instructions resulted more low and taking into account features of concrete type of the engine. Before replacement it is necessary to check up a condition of radical bearings. On removed from the car and the turned engine the cranked shaft lies on the top support. To measure backlashes in radical bearings between the bottom support and shaft necks. If backlashes are defined on the engine without its dismantle from the car, it is necessary to raise a cranked shaft upwards to choose backlashes between shaft and the top radical support, and to measure backlashes between necks and the bottom loose leaves.

Replacement of loose leaves with dismantle of a cranked shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To dismantle covers of radical bearings with loose leaves. To take out loose leaves.
2. To dismantle a cranked shaft. To check up a condition of necks of a shaft.
3. To take out loose leaves from radical support of the block of cylinders.
4. To grease bearing surfaces of new loose leaves of the necessary size and to establish in bed of radical support of the block and in covers of bearings.
5. To establish a cranked shaft, to fix covers of radical bearings.

Replacement of loose leaves without dismantle of a cranked shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove the oil pallet, the oil pump, to unscrew spark plugs. To dismantle a cover of the radical bearing requiring replacement of loose leaves. To take out the loose leaf from a cover.
2. To establish the assembly adaptation for loose leaves in an aperture of the oil channel of a neck of a cranked shaft. If the adaptation is absent, to use шплинт, having bent it in a place.
3. To turn a cranked shaft clockwise, if to look in front of the engine. Thus the loose leaf which is in bed of a radical support, will turn together with shaft and will come to light.
4. To grease the new loose leaf and to insert its smooth party (without the lock) between a neck of a shaft and a radical support of the block from outside deepening arrangements under the loose leaf lock. To turn the loose leaf into place and to take out the assembly adaptation from the oil channel in a neck.
5. To grease the new loose leaf and to establish it in a cover of the radical bearing.
6. To establish a bearing cover. The arrow on a cover should be directed to a forward part of the engine.
7. To tighten bolts of covers of radical bearings the moment of 50 Nanometers + (40–60 ).

To check up

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Surfaces of a friction of bearings on presence:
      – Deterioration;
      – Flutes;
      – The introduced alien particles. If there are similar defects, to establish a kind of these particles and them происхожде ние. To examine a sediment and a deposit in the oil pallet.
2. External surfaces of bearings on presence:
      – Deterioration. Wear tracks to the certificate ют or about loose leaf movings, or about presence of considerable roughnesses on interfaced details.
      – Overheat traces;
      – Traces of easing of landing and проворачивания (the deformed ledge of the lock, ring flutes).
3. Persistent surfaces (the average radical bearing) on presence:
      – Deterioration;
      – Ring flutes. Flutes are developed because of roughnesses of persistent end faces of a cranked shaft.
The prevention

At detection of defects of loose leaves, except normal эксплуата ционного deterioration, it is required to examine interfaced details attentively: a cranked shaft, a radical support, a bearing cover, a rod.

4. Bolts of fastening of covers of bearings. If bolts are stretched, it is necessary to replace them.

To measure

Correctly to define the size of loose leaves, it is necessary to measure backlashes in bearings carefully. It is possible to use any of described below ways of measurement. However the way And is more preferable, as provides more reliable results.
The prevention

In a method And measurements are used for settlement definition of a backlash. The method In assumes direct measurement of a backlash. Besides, the method In differs that does not allow to define bearing palpation.

Installation of loose leaves of the various nominal size in one radical bearing is not supposed.

METHOD AND

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To measure by means of a micrometer diameter of a radical neck of a shaft. Measurements to make in several places on length of a neck sections, отстоящих from each other on 90 degrees. Осреднить results of measurements.
2. To measure конусность and ovality.
3. To measure internal diameter of loose leaves by means of a micrometer. At replacement of loose leaves of measurement to make with new loose leaves.
The prevention

At measurements bolts of covers of bearings should be tightened the nominal moment.

If the sizes of necks and a deviation from the form are in admissible limits, it is necessary to pick up the complete set of loose leaves of the suitable size. In case of inadmissible deterioration of necks it is necessary прошлифовать necks of a cranked shaft for the repair size and to establish the complete set of loose leaves of the reduced size.

METHOD IN

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish loose leaves in support of the block of cylinders and a cranked shaft.
2. To impose the measuring plastic loose leaf for all length of the radical bearing.
3. To plant a bearing cover into place, cautiously tapping on a cover from above.
The prevention

In order to avoid damages of the block of cylinders and-or covers of radical bearings it is necessary to use a hammer with brass or lead brisk or киянку with a leather nozzle. It is forbidden to put a cover into place a tightening of fixing bolts. The neglect these instructions can lead to damage of the block of cylinders or covers of bearings.

4. To tighten bolts the nominal moment.
The prevention

Not to turn a cranked shaft.

5. To uncover the bearing, having left the plastic loose leaf on a place.
6. To measure the maximum width of the deformed plastic loose leaf by means of a scale put on packing of loose leaves, fig. Measurement of a backlash of the radical bearing see.
7. To remove completely the plastic loose leaf.
8. To pick up the complete set of loose leaves which will provide demanded backlashes in the bearing.

To establish or attach
The prevention

Loose leaves of radical bearings should not have scratches, рисок from a file and should устанавли ваться in bed without additional linings. It is not necessary to undertake hands surfaces of a friction of loose leaves, differently fatty allocation of fingers can leave traces on a loose leaf covering.

It is necessary to be convinced of cleanliness of apertures of covers and interfaced surfaces of covers and block support. The description of installation of consolidation in a cover of the back radical bearing is resulted more low.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lower bolts of covers in engine oil.
2. To insert loose leaves of bearings into radical support of the block and a cover.
The prevention

The top and bottom loose leaves can differ. It is necessary to check up coincidence of apertures of oil channels. It is forbidden to block any oil channels.

Loose leaves come out a little, when are established in the nests. To check up, that loose leaves acted equally on both parties. To be convinced of correct position of locks of loose leaves.

3. At installation of the persistent radical bearing to grease persistent surfaces.
4. To grease surfaces of a friction of bearings with pure engine oil.
5. A cranked shaft.
The prevention

It is necessary to be careful of damages of necks of a cranked shaft. It is recommended to use protective caps for bolts of heads of rods or directing fingers.

6. Covers of bearings. Cautiously to plant covers on the places, slightly tapping on them with the suitable tool.

7. To screw in bolts of covers of bearings. In regular intervals to tighten bolts, then to turn on on one turn and to tighten the demanded moment.
8. To establish the persistent radical bearing, fig. Installation of persistent bearings of a cranked shaft see. To shift a shaft serially in both parties, to level persistent fillets of a shaft concerning the average radical bearing.

To check up

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Freedom of movings of rods and absence of jammings. If necessary to weaken bolts of covers of radical bearings and to tighten them again.

To measure

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The axial backlash of a cranked shaft, see fig. Measurement of an axial backlash of a cranked shaft.
2. Lateral backlashes of rods, see fig. Measurement of lateral backlashes of rods.
