5.4.1. A fuel tank, the pump and pipelines
THE GENERAL DATA

The fuel pump with an electric drive and the gauge of level of fuel are established in a tank. The pump takes away gasoline from a tank and through the filter submits fuel on the feeding pipeline to a pressure regulator. The fuel pump creates in system избыточ ное the pressure exceeding target pressure of a regulator and working pressure of fuel atomizers. The pressure regulator is established on the distributive pipeline and supports pressure of fuel at the set level. The excessive quantity of fuel merges in a tank on the separate pipeline.

At inclusion of ignition ECU includes the relay of the fuel pump for 2 seconds. For this time interval the pump has time to lift pressure in fuel system. If within two seconds the starter has not been included, ECU switches off the fuel pump. At the subsequent inclusion of a starter the fuel pump joins repeatedly. Pump refusal does engine start impossible. If the pump does not provide nominal pressure of fuel, it can lead to infringements of normal work of the engine.
