6.7. System of start-up of the engine

The electric equipment of the engine includes the storage battery, ignition system, a starter and the generator with corresponding electric conducting.

The system of start-up of the engine includes the storage battery, a starter, the lock of ignition and corresponding electric conducting. All elements of system of start-up of the engine are connected with each other электрически.

The starter represents the electric motor of a direct current consisting from статорных of windings of excitation in poles and an anchor with shchetochno-collector knot. In one case with the electric motor the lever of a drive and the traction relay is located. The case protects mechanisms of a starter from hit of a dirt and water splashes.

At ignition key turn position of start-up of the engine joins the traction relay. An anchor of the traction relay, being involved in the electromagnetic coil, turns the lever of a drive which enters a starter gear wheel into gearing with a flywheel wreath. Simultaneously the anchor closes contacts of inclusion of the electric motor. There is a scrolling of a cranked shaft of the engine by a starter. After engine start-up when frequency of rotation of a gear wheel exceeds frequency of rotation of a shaft of a starter, муфта a free wheeling separates a starter and an engine shaft and by that protects the electric motor from damages.

At release the ignition key there is a deenergizing of the traction relay and the starter electric motor. In order to avoid the raised deterioration муфты a free wheeling and damage of the electric motor from excess of admissible turns of a shaft cледует to switch off a starter at once after engine start-up.
