19.8.2. Insufficient cooling of air – the operative test
THE GENERAL DATA

The simplified test described more low allows to establish quickly an insufficient charge of system of KB coolant R-12 (air temperature exceeds 21 ). The test occupies some minutes and can simplify considerably troubleshooting of system KB or reduce labour input of detailed testing of system.

1) the Engine should be heated-up and idle.

2) to Open a cowl and Body doors.

3) to Include the button of system KB and to switch off the button recycling air.

4) to Establish a regulator of temperature of air on the minimum temperature.

5) to Include the maximum speed of rotation of the fan.

6) At the included compressor to define to the touch temperature of the entrance pipeline of the evaporator (behind a throttle branch pipe) and a receiver. At serviceable system of cooling of air the entrance branch pipe of the evaporator and a receiver surface should have identical temperature, which on some degrees below air temperature. To check up presence of other malfunctions.

To check up presence of leaks of a coolant. At detection of leaks to discharge system KB and to make necessary repair. Then again to charge systems KB a coolant.

If leaks it is not revealed, to spend detailed check of system SQ.
